I recently designed a logo and a website for a local Clinical Psychologist, Dr Jacob Cooney, on the Sunshine Coast. He specialises in diagnosing and treating adults with ADHD and autism (amongst many other mental disorders and conditions).
The design brief was for it to be clean, professional, but approachable too. I used a range of pastel colours to help soften the feel of the site, which, due to the use of formal psychology language, may have felt clinical. I also tried to break the text into bitesize chunks so that those with lower attention spans (myself included!) wouldn't feel overwhelmed when reading through all the information.
Hopefully what has resulted in an approachable website, displaying the friendly but professional nature of Dr Jacob himself.
