Have you ever wondered who lives in a house like this? (As Lloyd Grossman used to ask). I often do, and I am fascinated with trying to work it out.
I’ll often pass by a house where the gate is slightly open, or where I can just make out the roof, and wonder what kind of people live there. What do they do? What are they like? What’s the inside like?
With this painting I wanted to invite you to think about who might be living there, and what kind of welcoming tea party would you be invited to? The pandanus tree is a wonderful symbol of life by the beach on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
